Snet, the French subsidiary of Spanish power giant Endesa, has won a contract to supply power to the Auchan major retail chain.
The contract will see Snet supply some 400 GWh to 57 shopping centres in France owned by the multinational.
Along with the shopping centres in France which are to be supplied beginning this year, the contract will also see Snet supply the Alcampo hypermarkets and Sabeco supermarkets in Spain.
In 2005, Snet the second largest private producer and supplier of electricity in France, sold 4.7 TWh worth €179 million. Commercial terms for the latest contract have not been disclosed.
