Eco-Safe Systems, a manufacturer of patent pending water treatment and water reclamation systems, has secured the first of a series of orders for its water treatment systems for food disinfection from the Japanese Nijiya Supermarket Chain.
The company will begin the installation of the disinfection systems that produce ozonated water for food disinfection and water treatment in the chain of Nijiya Supermarkets, which currently operates 16 markets from New York to California to Hawaii.
Eco-Safe Systems president Michael Elliot said that Nijiya also markets products prepared by another of Eco-Safe Systems’ clients, and when they saw how well the systems worked in another chain of Asian supermarkets, that closed the deal.
“They successfully tested our disinfection systems for several months in their seafood and produce departments and have been most impressed by the fantastic results they have seen in their produce,” Elliot said.
