The facility presently has an operational generation capability of 1,745 MW. The expansion of the project is expected to take 24 months. The expansion is expected to reduce soot by 82.2% or 18,000 metric tons and sulfur-dioxide emissions by 76.6% or 25,000 metric tons every year.
Heping Si, the Deputy Governor of Jiangsu, said: The expansion project is another important energy project built by China Guodian Corporation in Jiangsu in responding to the nation’s new policy on energy development. The project will not only promote the development of the power plant as well as energy conservation and emission reduction in the region, but also will further enhance the power supply capacity and actively improve the energy structure in Jiangsu.
