• Alstom won a $30 million contract to upgrade the Sengulam and Pallivassal hydroelectric stations in southern India. Installation will be carried out in August and October of 2000.
• GE Harris Energy Control Systems has won a $2 million contract to supply automation equipment to 48 substations in Mumbai.
