EDF EN Canada, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, has started commercial operation of the first 12MWp installation of the St Isidore solar power project in Ontario.
The power project consists of two 12MWp solar PV installations – St Isidore A and St Isidore B.
St Isidore A, which consists of 153,000 panels, is expected to generate solar energy to meet the peak demands of about 3,500 homes in Ontario.
The second installation is under development and will be completed this year.
EDF EN Canada has also executed term financing agreements for St Isidore A with Dexia and Union Bank.
